The left side is with no flashlight help. The right side I am using a flashlight to help the camera and me focus. I decided to keep the flashlighton for the final image

Side by side comparison of sync speed at 1/1250 sec The photo on the left is @f3.2 on the right 2.8 so it's not a perfect comparison(it's out of focus too), but look carefully at the one on the left. Her skin, hair and shirt are all darker. Not just 1/3 stop darker that the 3.2/2.8 aperture difference (although the slightly darker bg shows that difference) The Right side is significantly Brighter. I have tried and the D700 will in fact sync up to 1/8000 of a sec!!! Been busy going through my pics on the Mac making sure there all here, came across this one. This is one from back in the day, Kickin' it old school, F100 camera The lab did a horrible job of processing this and I could never get her skin color just right. LightRoom to the rescue! Any way sorting through all these pics and working late no time to shoot! I tried to take a decent picture 9/11 but I didn't have enough time to do something decent :~( Rather than put up something lame I chose to stay dark. I have to say that there were many great tributes by my contacts, they were really wonderful! This is my very sexy wife Kate. I fell in love with those eyes! She has been so very patience and supportive with my photography! Thanks Babe! I love you like a fat kid loves cake!!!! I also need to thank Hajlana for her wonderful testimonial! It was quite a nice surprise! Thanks Helena! This was candid was taken at a family picnic today with the 105mm VR mounted to a 2X tele Promaster spectrum 7. I really like it. Mounts all of my lenses. Unlike Nikon's 2X which many did not! And it was less than half the price! Be warned though! The promaster latch sticks out way to far! I accidentally bumped it and the lens came loose!! Thank goodness I caught the problem in time!
