Brutus
This is Brutus, he's gotten much bigger in a short time! That's why I decided to shoot just him. I don't know how long they can last in this tank (we have two). At this rate I might have to build a pond out back sooner than planned! The Strobist info is the same as the last time I shoot them. It was nice to have the set upshot to refer to! On a side note I would like to thank Kevin for the great testimonial he gave me! He's one of those brave and ambitious souls embarking on a 365! He's going strong! I encourage every one to check him out and support him! Thanks Kevin!

View it on black to see all the Dust! This one was inspired by the LED man himself Patriiick! So this Friday is Super Chevy at Maple Grove Raceway Both Mechanics I work with race it every year. That means there both off Thursday and Friday. That just leave me! I leave for Vacation Saturday. There a whole lotta crap to get done! Tonight was the calm before the storm so to speak so I shot a couple of the U2 here to trickle out over the next couple of day's. I just got my SU-800 (whoa whoo!) so I would be able to get a "surefire" from my flashes! (ok corny I know!) Stir in 85mm set at 1.4
set oven at ISO 1600
Slowly add Bokeh to taste
Fire oven with SU-800
Carefully checking focus
Let bake for 1/160 of sec
M MM scrumptious!Bridge Bokeh

David on the bridge
I really hate the way the set up shot turned out so it ain't going up!
But you can almost guess no?
High ISO (1600)
Large aperture (f1.4) from the 85mm Bokeh king
Main light from the right (SB-900) low power (1/128@35mm) into a silver umbrella 8' away
Second light (SB-800 snooted) pointed 90 deg 13' away also low power (1/128)
Both flashes had a Color Temperature Orange (CTO) 1/2 stop
Let's see......add a bridge and a creek with pretty lights from an amusement park and BINGO!
Although my focus is not great I was happy enough with the results :~)Toy Soldier
So what's the deal with my buddy Icon you say? Well don't worry I haven't turned into a woman. (but I do feel so pretty)!haha I just like the shot :~) So what do you do when your at an amusement park, Bokeh heaven, but no one wants to go out and shoot with you? You Shoot dummies!
