300ZX
My Friend let me shoot his twin turbo 300zx. Trying to get the the light under the car, fat chance with CLS! I have some Ideas for next time. It was a good learning experience I was going for something like this great shot Jimmy took. So this was a quick shoot. My friend had to get back home. I was only able to get some shots from the front. He told me next time he would just give me the keys and let me take as long as I want................Might have to drive around a while to find a great BG! Oh yeah I've been really slaking on the set up shots..... Drum roll please..... and the set up shot is HERE! The Following material is Rated NERD: SB-900 right, shoot though, 18mm, 1/64 SB-800 lower right CTR gel 50mm 1/32 SB-600 left bounced into silver umbrella 24mm 1/64 D700 | 50mmf1.4@2.8 | ISO 800 | 1/250 CLS fired via SU-800

Electrifying!
Nasty storm last night. It flipped my bug tent! I found it in almost my neighbors yard! That was a boring shot though. This shot was a little more exciting. Thanks for all your feedback on my last shot ;~) Better on black I appreciate all the great feedback!
The grass is always greener.....
.......when you saturate the colors in post :P Grows all around the world and in every environment (in some kind of form or another) Big grass The Brackets are almost done, had some material problems....... Now working on a bracket for a soft box too :~)
Battle Scars
The shady part of town. This tough guy has been through a war! Even the flowers are banged up. Looked like some kind of flower power battlefield. I got pretty shots with other butterfly's and better BG's. THis one was kind of interesting. If you look close even his tail is beat up
The Warrior

Pretty boy
This is what you do when you been working all day and fighting traffic to and from work, doctored up old pics in Picnik to hide the flaws (not really well mind you) So this was one of the pretty boys around when I shot this beat up guy. By the way what happened to summer? Did some one flipped on the Fall switch?
Frog
Frames A La Picnik The frame isn't as exciting as the bee one, but I still think it's cool. the close up is from a crop :P When I got closer he plopped back in the water. I'll get you next time frog! These macros have been coming from a park that recently opened up near me. I still plan on doing Strobist shots. In fact I'm working on some custom brackets for my flash heads. I'm not happy with the hocus pocus flim flam CLS firing. I am very happy with the SU-800, but I got a couple of complaints on the SB-900's stand. Any way I got some plans, nothing fancy just some "get-r-done" type of stuff Anyone want to give this guy a kiss and see if he turns into a Prince?
Soft Box
Finally done with the brackets! It's been raining all day, and seems all weekend too, (boo) I really wanted to try out the new brackets down in the city or something outside with pretty lights. Well at least I got to play with the new light box :~) The brackets would have set me back more than the softbox! That's why I made my own. I was poking around Flickr and saw this shot by ALQABBANI and I got hungry! So that inspired the set up shot, thanks ALQABBANI! And for your support too! See the sweet details of this shot here. For the clicking impaired I offer you this..... Strobist info: One SB-900 right, behind subject (me) into softbox with grid attached 105mm 1/16 pwr 3' away CLS fired via SU-800 Secretly holding a bounce reflector left to add just a touch of light , so you can make out my crooked nose my brother broke on me when I was 8 yrs old.
Strobist info- Soft Box
“"I don't see much sense in that," said Rabbit. "No," said Pooh humbly, "there isn't. But there was going to be when I began it. It's just that something happened to it along the way."” jose

Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX VR Autofocus Lens
The wonderful 18-200mm VR DX is going up on ebay. It just doesn't get the respect it deserves any more :~( It is a great lens, not the sharpest but definitely the most versatile! It also focuses pretty dam close, not a macro but in a pinch it will surprise you. Actually I took this shot with it :P For the light junkies out there here's your fix, go ahead you know you want to.... For those of you to chicken: Strobist info: SB-800 24mm shoot trough @1/64 5' left Silver reflector right inches away Fired via SU-800 and if that ain't confusing enough I flipped this in post! Ha! Lets see who can figure it out :P BTW I wasn't out to confuse I just liked it better this way A little info on the strap Bought it in NY @
heaven on earthB&H photo years ago. Haven't seen another like it. I switched to a Rapid R strap for the D700. A must have for the bigger lenses. Much more comfortable than the neck straps. I really dig the embroidery on this so I keep this on on the D70
