He has his mother's eyes So I came home and found I had a Google Wave invite! There's already a Flickr Wave started. Doesn't look like it's going any where though. So who waves? People haven't even figured out Twitter now we have to figure out what to do with Wave! One more thing from the show I would like to pass along was this ShareStudio.com Looks interesting, the lens rentals seamed really reasonable. Now any one a member who can shed more light? Got the soft box out. I was hoping to re-shoot my Daughter. She said the school photog made her smile funny! (?) Huh? Good thing her dad has a camera. Let's hope that's she's cooperative. She is going to be one of those BrideZilla's I just know it....
Nails on a chalk board
That's how this makes me feel looking at this This is just weird even for me!

I am actually sick a a dog! Got to get better for PDN PhotoPlus in NYC on Friday!
Flickr has been a dog tonight more down than up. It's not just me either... http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/
OK visiting as a few streams then off to bed early!Owl out take
No lollipops for this guy.
I have no idea where the little blue bits came from but I though it looked cool.
An out take from the original there was no blue gel used on the 800
All the settings where the same but the 800 was further from the back ground so less light, (even w/o the blue gel) That whole inverse square thingy :PHow many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?
Apparently it's three Have a good week people! Strobist info: SB-800 left blue gel snooted 1/16 50mm SB-600 above purple gel snooted 1/16 14mm CLS fired via SU-800 D700 180mm Tamron macro F5.6 1/400 ISO 200
Bokeh for Wednesday
My view at a local Japanese restaurant on Sunday Not much better on back, but it helps Edit: On black Raw garlic, fish oil and Raw apple cider vinegar......... M mm (NOT!) I surround crushed garlic with raw honey (I'm starting to sense a theme), to help it go down. (That Poppins chick knew what she was doing) Not the greatest picture to post...... so let's here your cold remedies. I'm talking about grandmother's, passed down for generations, type remedies. What did you mother make you take when you where sick?
I think this one is broken
Just got back from NYC! Meet up with a local Flickr contact and got to meet some of his friends. The show was great! Could have spent all day there. So many great deals! My friend picked up a back drop support system and a huge back drop for under $150! I was really impressed by the photo books there. Well that's what I do at my day job so I'm picky about binding. The Canvas prints where awesome too. One of the more notable products was a tiny little flash trigger called microsync by Tamrac It can not only fire the flash but the camera too. But it's size and distance is what impressed me, price too! Well I got to go the the Meca that is B&H Photo on the corner of 34th st. Love that place :~) Surprisingly I didn't spend any money! Got a bunch of free swag though :P This is a cut out of a Nikon D700(?) not sure, they had a huge booth though. Lots of toys to play with.....

Looks like a bad hair day,
Kate says I look like a crazy person who escaped from the Luni-Bin
I must be crazy for posting this one :P
Taken a while ago so I don't remember the details
Pretty sure there was a softbox involved and a bounce directly underneath
and flash I'm sure there was a flash yeah that's it
OK so I forgot! You spin me right round
Flash in RPT (repeat) mode. Dragging the shutter and 1.3" and getting 2 pops @ 1 Hz Poorly trying to attempt this cool effect
Slip of the shutter
Still on the DL list :~( had to go digging in the ole archives....... This looks better Viewed On Black Twitter | Facebook | Blog
The Head Poo-Ba
The big man, the head muckity muck, Brandon. The man in charge of all the Festivities. Best if Viewed on Black Strobist? Sort of.... Most of the shots were taken with a SB-900 in manual RPT mode in the camera hot shoe. Pointed 45 degs and a Honl 5" snoot wrapped half away around to act as a bounce I shot fully manual, TTL was
a pain in the assnot giving me what I wanted. Found it easier to shoot this manually. The flash set to RPT or repeat, to try my hand at double popping the strobe while dragging the shutter, ala artfisch Let me tell you that is one dam good skill she has! I would love to have that in my bag of tricks! Well I need more practice that's for sure! As for the on camera flash... It was bounced but still harsh in some cases. I would have preferred the light on a stick method. But Under the tent went smashing!
