Silly rabbit
Is today Wednesday? I think I lost a day with day light savings.... I felt like a geek failure today. All the major ISP's have started blocking port 25. This will actually help on spam sent from unscrupulous people in mine and your name. That's a good thing (as Martha would say) Custom domains need to send outgoing mail through port 587 or 366 just not 25. How did I miss this? I'm a geek, these things should be on my radar! I failed FAILED! ah who cares. It was a pain in the butt getting all the computers at work to send mail again. They started to try and "fix" it on there own yesterday......it wasn't pretty. So you want to know about the bunny? Strobist set up is here OCL SB-800 105mm 1/128 pwr snooted with a piece of tissue at the end to diffuse it more pointed at crinkled up gold foil CLS fired via SU-800
Holiday Shoot!
Finally back! Kate wasn't too happy about me planning this photo shoot 2 weeks before Christmas! She still came over to support me :~) A big shout out to my Flickr friend for stopping by too! He was a HUGE help! He help rate the images with people while I was shooting others. He got some great shots for me too. Thanks Chris! FaceBook worked out great too. I got to see a friend I haven't seen in 25 years! 25 years? Crap I'm old! I was so under the gun I didn't get the Strobist shot Doh! Any one want to guess the lighting? Sorry Fabi no SOOC today :~( There Mom turned this one into a Christmas card. It came out great too! Just love the little ones tongue sticking out!
It's easy shooting purty :~)
Last shot from the shoot I swear! Just been to
lazy stuffing my face full of foodbusy getting ready for the Holidays to take new pictures lately...... Update The nice warm glow was caused by putting a folded sheet over the softbox on the left. It was a white sheet but this warm light was a happy accidentSnow's a faling!
Were just starting to get heavy here in NJ Were expecting a lot more... Uploaded for Finky :~)
Burr!
Toes cold and cheeks rosy from sledding Philadelphia broke a 100 yr old record for the most snow fall in December 24"! Even though the neighbor came over with the snow blower there still was a LOT of shoveling to do :~( Post and uploaded via LR3.0 beta Check out how nice and white there teeth are, compliments of the local "teeth whiting" tool in LR3 :~)
From the good old film days
See all the grainy details So I survived Farmer Brown But some how wound up in the hospital anyway! Could be stones or appendicitis :~( I hoping it's urinary track infection. Less slicing and prodding that way! Well wish me luck! Twitter | Facebook | Blog UPDATE: Infection Hurray! Never though I would be happy to hear I have an infection. A shot in the ass, beats surgery every time!
You got a little cake.....

Untethered
OK I know you're thinking I was
sitting around on my ass trolling all your photostreamsat home healing, but I was actually getting things done! This shot was inspired after I got this wireless DIY setup working. Very excited about it too! Nikon's wireless solution is not only expensive, over $800 for the WT-4, but slow to boot! Don't know about Canon but I'm sure it's the same. This was downloading a RAW file in just under 10 seconds, Fine JPG 7 seconds, Normal JPG 5 seconds! The range wasn't too bad either about 15-20' The other cool part of this is LightRoom 3 Beta2. Just released this week with a new feature; Tethering! Sweet! It supports most high end Nikon and Canon Cameras. Not enough Dork talk? Don't worry I have more! Strobist info!
