Raw Honey
Been suffering from allergies as of late. My Grandmother (Gia Gia) said to have lemon and honey in tea as a remedy for sore throat. Turns out she was right. There is a huge difference in the way pasteurized honey and raw honey. The look, smell and taste. I also believe that pasteurized honey has most of the benefits boiled away! There is no need to pasteurize honey Period! I recently bought some Raw Honey from a local farmer. What a difference! So where is this all going? Well I was licking some raw honey from a spoon (like a fat bear in a bee hive) and remembered this shot from the Vacation files! This was also strobed :D SB-800 on a mono pod camera right SU-800 fired. Post in LightRoom Better on Black
Huh?
I have notice that I Tagged some people out there, you know who you are,

I found out if you bring a camera to the stupid gift shop your wife drags you to it's not so bad!
Taken on vacation in a gift shop, why buy when I can shoot for free?Supermodel shoot-1

See it on black Finally! I got some Lightning shots! Woo Whoo! I hate to be a post hound but I needed to get this one out! I have an early day tomorrow and so need to get to bed. But I'm on an Explore high! Little Dana's shot on the Patio got Explored! Thank you guys!
Lightning 2!
Just got back from seeing Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Great movie! Both story wise and brilliantly shot! It's hard to concentrate on the movie when your studying the lighting of the actors LOL! Good thing I'm a dork and read all the books! Oh admit it you read them too. Let you Geek flag fly! Then I got these great lighting shots! Hurray! Then I found out Dana on the patio was explored! It's going to be rough trying to sleep tonight! View it on Black
Strike!
Invited to a pool party today so naturally here we are at the bowling alley. Huh? The rain came down in buckets today, so the family switched it :~) Of course I brought a camera :P This was the best one of my kid. There were better but I don't have permission so.... She bowled a 113! But unfortunatly she ripped her thumb nail soon after this shot (ouch!) Because she couldn't bowl any longer, to make her feel better, I let her take the set up shot! On to the goodies Simple one light set up (because apparently you can't bring light stands into a bowling alley!) I used the SB-800, I was afraid of some one kicking the 900! SB-800 17mm diffuser down to hold 0.3 EV amber gel (basically a CTO but that's what Nikon calls it) 1/32 power into a pocket bounce on the floor camera left 45 deg to subject CLS fired via SU-800 Which by the way I'm loving this SU-800! Truly worth every penny.
Strobist info-Strike!
You should have seen her with the D700. With the big 85 she was lost behind it! Explore Taken by my 8yr old daughter :~) Thanks everyone! Corrina was thrilled to see that her picture she took got explored!
Aquarius
So needed a soak tonight! I tired writing this, and my fall asleep in front of the key board ( I hate when that happens) This is where I go to
sleepMeditate. I will occasionally bring my iPod touch to do a little Flickr-ing or check email. It's kinda stupid considering I dumped my shuffle in here ( you should have heard that die when it was playing, ouch!) Well if your are a true Strobist junkie, you will want to continue reading about this 4 strobe shot below --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sb-900 high left shoot through Sb-800 sharp right blue gel snooted Sb-600 low right purple gel Minolta 5400HS behind lighting BG All CLS fired via SU-800 Excluding Minolta that was a flash trigger off of the 600's light Didn't get your fix of Strobist info? Click here, I dare you too, I triple dog dare you!Ha ha Made you look!
The set up shot of Aquarius The SB-600 was at 14mm I though ti could light the wall from there. Turns out no it doesn't, but like the way it was adding purple to the candle holder Tucked away is a Minolta 5400 HS being fired from a cheap flash sync. That gets the BG wall purple
Untethered
No computer + no phone + kids =D Spent all day Friday untethered! It was hard at first, but after the sweating and shaking stop it's really not that bad to be with out a computer! A little B&W Seams fitting after the controversy on my last pic! From a recent drive by shooting with the the converted D70 Infrared. Now to see all the pretty pictures..........
"I am a Bear of Very Little Brain, and long words Bother me." Winnie the Pooh
I was looking for a Pooh doll, after all those great comments about me eating out of the honey jar. I couldn't find one. Then I start pointing the flash light down through the honey and m mm did it look good! So I started to see what I could shoot, well you can see the result!

Check it out! Our wonderful niece came in from sunny Florida for a visit! Kate had to take her shopping so it was too late to go out and shoot. I had to settle with an impromptu setup in the dinning room!
